The Journal of Chemometrics is pleased to announce that the 2010 Kowalski Prize in Chemometrics has been awarded to Martin Andersson.
The Kowalski Prize is awarded each year, and alternates between the 'best theoretical paper' and 'best applied paper' published in the Journal of Chemometrics in the previous two years. This year was the turn of the 'best theoretical paper' which was awarded to Martin Andersson for his paper entitled, "A comparison of nine PLS1 algorithms" (J Chemometrics 2009, 23, 518-529).
本文来自织梦 The selection committee liked the paper's new look at one of chemometric's oldest, most central and important methods. In their justification for selecting this paper the committee noted that the paper was clearly written, was based on a sound theoretical understanding of the properties of numerical methods, and provided many useful insights into the numerical stability of PLS.
This yearly award honours the many contributions of the former Editor-in-Chief and Founding Editor of the Journal, Bruce Kowalski.
Worth $1000, the Kowalski Prize will be presented to the winner in 2011.
